“Will Lulu replace me or the teachers?”
No. Lulu is a practice buddy, not a teacher or a babysitter. It often nudges your child to share what they learned with you.
“Is it recording my child all day?”
Lulu listens only after its wake word or a button press, and a hardware switch cuts the microphone. Voice recordings aren’t stored by default.
“Will it give scary or wrong answers?”
Answers pass through a kid-safe content layer with age filters. When Lulu isn’t sure, it says, “Let’s ask Mama or Papa.”
“Can it speak the Chinese we use at home?”
Lulu speaks 华语 with Malaysian-friendly vocabulary and is designed to understand Malaysian accents. Cantonese and Hokkien stories are on the roadmap.
“We mix languages at home. Is that okay?”
Yes! Children can switch between 华语, English and BM mid-sentence, just like many Malaysian families do.
“Will it make my child addicted?”
No videos, no games with rewards loops, no ads. Daily limits and bedtime mode are in your parent app.
“What does it cost?”

Lulu is a palm-sized AI chatbot toy for children aged 4–10. It chats by voice in 华语, English and Bahasa Malaysia, tells stories, answers “why?” questions and encourages speaking confidence, while parents manage everything from a phone app.
Safety is the starting point of the design: no camera, a hardware microphone mute switch, no ads, no open web browsing and parent-set limits. Voice recordings are not stored by default. Read the full safety & privacy details.
